Epson XP 4100 Vs 4105 Detailed Comparison
Design and build quality
The Epson XP 4100 is a family printer with a plastic body, the output tray, and plastic body is quite flimsy.
The scanner lid can rise too high to accommodate thick items. It has a decent 2.4” LCD display with stunning black color the buttons around the screen let you navigate the menu and the home button helps to exit quickly.
The screen visibility is quite good. The auto 2-sided printing, small size, and voice command make it worthy.
On the other hand, the Epson XP 4105 comes with 3 in one facility i.e. print, copy, and scan. The white 2.4-inch color LCD display looks stunning with the voice command and compact plastic body.
Also, the 100-sheet capacity makes it really great with its stunning printing performance. Both the printers have great scanning and printing quality must say.
Printing quality and speed
The printing quality and speed of these two inkjet printers are really great. Though, in the case of color accuracy Epson XP 4105 surpasses Epson XP 4100.
The Epson XP has moderate photo quality with good details, but the colors are a bit flat with bluish tones, all over the contrast is not up to the mark. The speed is also passable, first pages take a longer time to print.
The color printings are the worst. The printing speed is 8ppm (black document) and 4ppm (color document). It takes more than 1 minute to print color photos which are not preferred for business purposes.
The Epson XP 4105 has good printing quality of 5760×1440” DPI. But the printing time is long; it takes almost 4 mins to print a photo.
The A4 prints are really great in Epson XP 4105. Also, the auto duplex printing is a great feature to print and borderless printing looks stunning. It provides a speed of 10.0 ISO ppm(black) and 5.0 ISO ppm(color).

Scanning and copying
Both the printers have mediocre scanning features. Both the printers have an easy scan-to-cloud feature. The Epson XP 4100 doesn’t have a sheet-fed scanner so one can’t scan both sides of the document at once.
Also, the resolution and color depth are not up to the mark. Also, it has the OCR technology but the absence of ADF and duplex scanning makes the scanning experience of Epson XP 4100 horrible.
On the other side, the Epson XP 4105’s scanning and copying feature are quite good. The 1200×2400” DPI resolution of the scanner bed helps to scan stunning photos. Also the voice command works great in scanning and printing photos. It can copy up to 99 copies with a max resolution of 8.5×11”.
Printing cost and page yields
The printing cost is a crucial part of any printer for becoming worthy or not. The Epson XP 4100 here proves to be good.Although, the cartridge system is poor in this printer, and so the page yields are.
The most disgusting thing is that the printer stops working even though only one color cartridge is finished. It has multiple color cartridges of 8 cartridges, which indicates that one doesn’t have to replace colors for often use.
The cost per print is Ok type. Though the cartridges are not too expensive they also don’t last longer too. The page yields are 171 prints (black) and 106 prints (color). The cost per print is 0.117 US $ per print (black) and 0.198 US $ per print(color).
Coming Epson XP 4105, it has a good cartridge system and the 603 ink cartridges work very efficiently. It can scan to PDF, computer and mail via USB.
It has a color-flatbed scanner. The cost per print is almost the same as Epson XP 4100 i.e. 8 cents per print (black) and 20 cents per print(color). The page yields are also good i.e. 500 pages (black) and 130 pages (color).
Connectivity features
When it comes to connectivity, Epson printers perform like a pro indeed. Both the printers support Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi direct and High-speed USB. In the Epson XP 4100, one can print directly from mobile via Air print or Morphia.
But sadly it doesn’t support Bluetooth. The Epson print app works like a wonder for printing, scanning, and copying. One can also check the ink levels.
On the other hand, the Epson XP 4105 also has the access to Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi direct, and High-speed USB. It can also be operated through Epson iPrint and it works really great. The most stunning feature of these two printers is the voice command tasking, which makes them great for home use.
Conclusion– Epson XP 4100 Vs 4105
To summarize, it can be seen that both the printers are great for home and small office uses. They both work very well in printing, scanning, and copying documents.
But the Epson 4105 is a bit good to go as it has wonderful printing quality with great page yields, which Epson XP 4100 lacks. Otherwise, both the printers are good to go.
